“Missing the forest for the trees.”
We use this expression to describe getting so close to something we lose our perspective. We can see the individual parts but not how they fit into the whole. It’s like studying the individual pieces of a mosaic or jigsaw puzzle without any sense of how they all fit together to form a picture. If you know the Bible’s big story you can understand and embrace the truth that allows you to live the life God intended. You can take your place in the biggest story of all, the story of God’s love for us. So, let me invite you to climb on board and buckle your seatbelt low and tight around your waist. We’re about to take off for a flight over the forest we know as the Bible.
