We see this as a gospel centered important technique that we recommend you learn. First, apply the technique to yourself. Perhaps, include it in a spiritual retreat weekend as recommended in The Basics of Chaplaincy course. In any case, practice on yourself. Then, discuss it with someone you do life with and practice it together. Get used to this technique before you try using it in a counseling relationship.
