A Brief History

Completion requirements

When I was in grade school I had to take history classes. At first I thought they would be boring. What is the sense of learning a bunch of names, dates and events that happened long ago?

But the first history teacher I had changed my negative way of thinking. He, with great zeal, told the class that history was one of the most important subjects we could ever study.

History is much more than just the record of nations, leaders, and wars. It’s also the story of people. It contain tales of how individuals stood up for what they believed in, or died for, or what they did to make their dreams become a reality. It’s also a valuable tool to help us to understanding those who are different from us. History helps us understand other cultures and how they can relate to us, today.

In the book, Jesus Is Lord, is a brief history of the Jewish nation. As you read chapter 7 you will begin to understand the “mind and the heart” of the Jewish people.
