Stories of Calling

Completion requirements

We end this course with the stories of calling from each of the teachers in this course. It’s one thing to say you do not believe in women in ministry. It’s another to encounter the actual women whom God has called. What will you do when your daughter tells you she wonders if she is called to ministry? Will you try to quench the Spirit? Would you actually dare to tell God that he is wrong?

This is not just a theoretical question. As we have seen, we are dealing with the lives of real people. Be very careful not to try to stand in the way of God. When Jesus’ opponents accused Jesus of using the power of the Devil to cast out demons, he sternly warned them. Attributing to the Devil that which is actually the work of the Spirit is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, an unforgivable sin. So you should be very careful not to say that the Spirit’s calling on a woman is of the Devil.
