The purpose of this course capstone assessment is to gauge your understanding of the entire course. It will test your knowledge of the main topics discussed in each lesson.
Instructions
You have probably heard the statement, “Those cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it” (George Santayana). There is much to be learned from church history if we are willing to let go of our biases and listen to it. Write a reflection on this course with the five to ten main takeaways you have gained from this walk through the story of the church. These should include both positive and negative lessons. Where would you say, “The Holy Spirit was in that” or “Sinful humanity got off track there.” Then at the end, reflect on yourself. How might my biases and background have affected the list I just came up with?
