Articles of Religion
Completion requirements
Read the Articles of Religion in The Discipline (Article 2, paragraphs 210-250) and Appendix A with the Charter of the International Conference of The Wesleyan Church (paragraphs 6550-6770). If you have been a Wesleyan for some time, most of these articles of belief are hopefully familiar. If you are new to the Wesleyan Church but have been a Christian for some time, a couple of the articles may strike you as different (particularly articles 9 and 15). If you are a new Christian, you may find many of these articles new and fascinating.
Choose two of the articles that have some item of special interest to you. In 300-600 words, indicate what about the articles you find interesting or you have questions about. Do a little research on each of the two topics. What is something new you may have noticed? Are there questions you feel like you should pursue more deeply with someone in the church?
Write up your thoughts and upload them to the course. This assignment is worth 50 points.
