Activity: Interview

For this assignment, you will interview someone to explore their understanding of the five moments in salvation’s story mentioned by Dr. Bounds in his video introduction to the week. These five moments were

• God before the world
• Creation
• Fall
• Redemption
• Consummation of the ages

God existed before there was anything else, and the one God existed eternally as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God created the world, and God declared that everything he had created was good. But then sin entered the world. We call this event the “Fall,” brought about by the sin of Adam and Eve. 

However, in the fullness of time, Christ came to redeem us and the creation from the powerhold of Sin. This is redemption. Jesus set in motion the final salvation of everything, which will be completed in its fulness at the point of consummation.

Without telling them the information in the video or paragraphs above, Interview someone to ask them what their understanding is of the significance of the five moments above is. If you need to prompt them some, be sure to include that information in your submission.

In your submission:

1. First record what you asked, what you might have clarified, and what their answers were.
2. Second, given your current understanding of theology, how well do you think they did?
3. Finally, What questions for further investigation came out of your interview?
