Capstone: Faith in Action: A Workplace Ministry Plan

This capstone activity is designed to help you create a plan for incorporating the principles and practices learned in each lesson to foster discipleship and manifest Christ-like values in the workplace.

Part 1: Reflection and Synthesis (Duration: 1 Hour)

Reflective Essay: Write a reflective essay synthesizing the insights gained from each lesson. This essay will include:

• Lesson 1 Insights: How viewing the workplace as a ministry changes their perspective and approach to work.
• Lesson 2 Insights: Specific biblical principles they plan to apply to overcome workplace challenges.
• Lesson 3 Insights: Personal leadership assessment results and how they intend to enhance their leadership style with 10X principles.
• Lesson 4 Insights: Preparedness to engage in spiritual conversations, reflecting on the practice activity's preparation and envisaging how those strategies might be applied in real workplace scenarios.
• Lesson 5 Insights: Reflection on the Discovery Bible Session experience and how this method can be adapted to the workplace.

Part 2: Application and Planning (Duration: 1 Hour)

Workplace Ministry Plan: Based on the reflective essay, develop a concrete plan for applying their insights and actions in their workplace. This plan should include:

• Weekly Objectives: Short-term goals for implementing lessons from the course. For example, setting a goal to have at least one spiritual conversation per week or to demonstrate a specific Christ-like value in a work project.
• Long-term Strategies: Ideas for initiating a Discovery Bible Study group at work or other long-term projects to foster a ministry-minded workplace environment.
• Challenges and Solutions: Anticipated challenges to living out faith in the workplace and strategic approaches to address these challenges.
• Resources and Support: Identification of resources (people, materials, communities) that can support the implementation of this plan.
• Evaluation Metrics: Criteria for measuring the success and impact of their efforts, including personal growth, influence on colleagues, and contributions to a positive workplace culture.
