Assignment

Practice: Accountability and Tracking Framework Design

Completion requirements

In this activity, we will create a framework for maintaining accountability and tracking progress toward the strategic goals set in previous lessons.

Instructions

Step 1: Review Execution Strategy (5 minutes)

  • Start by reviewing the execution strategy we developed in Lesson 4. This will provide context for the accountability and tracking framework.

Step 2: Design Accountability Measures (30 minutes)

  • For each goal and corresponding execution plan, develop specific accountability measures. This should include:
    • Assignment of Responsibilities: Identify who is responsible for each task or milestone.
    • Regular Check-ins: Plan for review meetings or progress reports. Outline their frequency (e.g., weekly, monthly) and the key points to be covered.

Step 3: Establish Tracking Mechanisms (30 minutes)

  • Decide the methods and tools you'll use for tracking progress toward each milestone and goal. This could involve:
    • Progress Tracking Tools: Project management software, spreadsheets, or dashboards.
    • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Determine specific metrics that will be used to measure progress and success.

Step 4: Document the Framework (20 minutes)

  • Compile your accountability measures and tracking mechanisms into a document. Make sure the framework aligns with the execution strategy and SMART goals and that it is clear and structured.
  • The document should be concise, preferably at most two pages.

Step 5: Reflect on Framework Development (15 minutes)

  • Reflect on the process of developing the accountability and tracking framework. Consider items such as:
    • The challenge of ensuring accountability for each task.
    • The effectiveness of selected tracking methods.
    • How the framework supports the overall strategic plan.
