Our own motivations are sometimes hidden from our eyes. We cannot see ourselves as we are. As you seek a calling from God or as you pursue a vision, check your motives. Are you looking to glorify yourself or to glorify God? Ask the Lord to reveal any hidden motivations you may have for the good you do or want to do in the world. You might even ask someone who knows you well what their impressions are of your motivations for doing good.
