Step 1: Select a Script

Choose one of the following options for your script:

  • Script A: A manager and an employee negotiating over the distribution of workload, with the employee feeling overwhelmed.
  • Script B: A conversation between two friends where one confronts the other about a betrayal.
  • Script C: Create your own challenging conversation scenario.

Step 2: Annotation

  • Identify Key Moments: Highlight moments in the conversation that are "challenging" and explain why.
  • Use Course Concepts: Annotate the script using terminology and concepts from the course.
  • Alternative Strategies: Suggest different strategies or responses that could make the conversation more effective, explaining your reasoning.

Step 3: Reflection

Include a brief reflection discussing emotional triggers, types of conflict, and the potential for forgiveness or forbearance in your chosen or created scenario.

Assessment Criteria

Your annotated script will be evaluated based on:

  • Accurate use of course terminology and concepts.
  • Depth of analysis and understanding of the challenging elements in the conversation.
  • Quality and feasibility of the alternative strategies or responses suggested.
  • Insightfulness of the reflection on emotional triggers, types of conflict, and forgiveness or forbearance.
