Lesson 3 Practice

This lesson has addressed the two texts that are primarily used to limit or exclude women from leadership roles and ministry in the church: 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 and 1 Timothy 2:12-15. Now imagine that someone in your church has raised questions about the Wesleyan Church’s position on women in ministry and leadership. They want to meet with you in a week to hear why the church takes the stand that they do.

Do some research of your own as if you are preparing for this meeting. Write up a 300-600 word response of what you plan to say to this person when you meet. You will also later submit this material as part of your final project if you wish to earn a MicroBadge for this course.
