Both Dr. Bounds’ overview video and the reading in chapter 4 discuss the concept that humanity was created in the image of God. This idea finds its central text in Genesis 1:26-27. After you have watched and read this material, also read the following sermon by the 1700s founder of Methodism, John Wesley: “The New Birth” Do a little additional research as well.
Now, write 450-600 words on your understanding of the image of God. What do you think is included in the image? What are the implications for how we should treat each other as human beings, if any? What are the implications for how we might think about each other? Did you find any views in your research that you disagreed with or had questions about?
