Reflect on the presence of disabled individuals within your church context.

• Are there any in your church who would fall into this category?
• If there are, do you think your church notices them?
• Are they included in the ministries of the church?
• Do they participate?
• Is your church open to their participation or are they “sequestered” in some way so that they won’t be seen?

If there aren’t any disabled individuals, ask yourself why? Were there opportunities missed? Is there a prejudice against such individuals that would push them out? What are the opportunities for ministry that you church might be missing?
