Using some of the learning from this lesson, draft a one-page “Ground Rules” document to keep in your hip pocket if you lead a small group. In most cases, it will not be necessary – or helpful – to make such a document known. However, you might run it by some church leaders so that, if at some point a conflict arose, you could bring it out as something the church has approved.
In most cases, however, such a document will be counterproductive. In an ideal world, this document is more meant to help you think through what you might do if a tense situation were to arise.
