In the Lesson, Dr. Deneff talks about a spiritual exercise that he sometimes does in the morning. He works through the parts of his body and consecrates each part of his body to God for the day. He might pray, “Father, I consecrate my eyes to you and I covenant with you that I will put in nothing evil in front of them. If I can, I will put nothing in front of them that detracts from your own beauty and holiness… I give you my mouth and I pray that the things that come out of my mouth will be taken over by you…” and so forth.
At the beginning of a day, pray this prayer of consecration, going through the parts of your body, mind, and spirit and giving them to God for the day. Mention especially these parts of you in anticipation of what you will be facing that day.
After the day is over, write up your reflections on the experience and how it played out that day. Submit using the option below.
