We can long for God’s movement, but God moves at the times and places of his own choosing. We don’t act because we think something great will come of it. We act because we see a need, and the Holy Spirit prompts it, regardless of what follows. Is the Lord prompting you to do something? Can you discern any patterns in God’s movement in your life? Are there any challenges you are facing where you need to invite God into the equation or, more accurately, acknowledge that he is already in the equation?
