Introduction

In the previous module, you learn about the way that God created the universe as well as the way that sin has marred and undermined its original goodness. But God so loved the world that he sent his only Son to heal and redeem the world. In this module, we begin to explore Christology, the study of Christ. This module studies the person of Jesus Christ, while the next one will study the work of Christ.

• Articulate the orthodox understanding of the person of Jesus Christ
• Explain why it was fitting for Jesus to become fully human
• Explain why Jesus’ divinity was a prerequisite for atonement to work.
