  • Lesson 3: Open Mind

In this lesson, we will discuss a very practical application of loving other Christians: building bridges with them instead of walls of disunity. This means that we want to have an open mind: “To Think and Let Think.” We will also reflect on the following motto: “In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, and in all things charity.” It does not mean, however, that we become silent in moments of disagreement for the sake of unity. We can hold strong opinions while lovingly allowing and encouraging others to also hold strong opinions

This lesson aims to equip you to:

    1. Be strongly opinionated but also very open-minded.
    2. Think and let think.
    3. To understand the importance of Christian freedom of conscience.
    4. To recognize that unity is not the goal, but only the means. The end is to promote the teachings of Christ.
