  • Lesson 2: Why do our bodies feel burdensome?

In this lesson, we will explore the fact that, despite the challenges our bodies often pose in our lives, we remain created in the image of God, and our bodies remain an essential part of who we are. This lesson explores the account of humanity’s fall in the Garden of Eden with a special view of its consequences for our bodies. We also explore Paul’s use of the term flesh and how he understands its role in temptation and sin. But slavery to sin and corruption is not the end of the story!

This Lesson aims to equip you to:

    1. Describe the physical consequences of Adam and Eve as described in Genesis 3:14-19.
    2. Give a plausible interpretation of the concept of “flesh” in Romans 6-8.
    3. Express the tangible nature of faith and the fact that spiritual battles have physical frontlines.
