  • Module 3: Life and Ministry of Jesus Christ

    Module Overview

The Gospels are about the life, teachings and ministry of Jesus Christ. The word Gospel means “Good News”. Each of the 4 Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John contain the good news about Jesus Christ! They cover His life, teachings and ministry. Each of the Gospel accounts was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit by different men at different times but each Gospel wants their reader to know who Jesus Christ is.

One way we can know about a person is by the names and titles associated with that individual. Asian cultures put a lot of credence in both of them. When I served in Southeast Asia I was told that a person’s name is the most important ‘possession’ that that individual has. A person’s name identifies who he or she is.

As we begin learning about Jesus Christ in module 3, I felt it will be important for you to become familiar with some of His names and titles. This will help you to begin to “know” Him.
