Module Overview

In this module we will talk about study of the Bible, its purpose, and the Christian’s responsibility. We examine attitudes for effective study and how, exactly, does one do Devotions? Finally, we’ll outline the process of inductive bible study and conduct our own. For some of you, for the first time.

• Identify what some of the purposes of the Bible are
• Summarize reasons why we should study the Bible
• Practice doing personal devotions
• Explore the role of the Holy Spirit in Bible reading
• Know how to do an inductive Bible Study
• Articulate the scriptural support for God's love for me
