About the Instructor: Dr. Ken Schenck: Provost of Campus EDU and author to "Why Wesleyans Favor Women in Ministry"; Rev. Carla Working : Director of Clergy Care and Development at The Wesleyan Church; Rev. Dr. Christy Lipscomb: Lead Pastor at City Life Church, Grand Rapids, MI; Dr. Miranda Cruz : Prof of Historical Theology and Division Chair, School of Theology and Ministry at IWU; Rev. Dr. Jo Anne Lyon: General Superintendent Emerita at The Wesleyan Church ; and Rev. Katie Lance: serves on the Wesleyan Church ’s Church Multiplication and Discipleship team as the Director of Discipleship.

Course Description: The Wesleyan Church believes the Bible is without error, right? And yet you believe women can be ministers? Join this winsome journey through the biblical, theological, historical, and experiential reasons why Wesleyans have had women ministers since the mid-1800s. You'll meet the women ministers in Scripture that some don't seem to notice. You'll learn the theological basis for women in ministry, shaped in creation and redemption. And you'll meet women in the church today whose call we dare not undermine.
